OUR HISTORY

Miss Rose opened Red Rose Stage Academy at Bilsborrow Village Hall in 2013 following years of professional training and dance teaching experience across England and beyond! She opened an academy with the aim of making dance classes accessible to both children and adults alike. We held our first ever show in 2015 with just 30 performers - many of who are still with Red Rose to this day!

We continued to grow and develop, eventually introducing ballet fit and drama to the timetable and finally singing, making us a triple threat school. We then moved to Catterall for a short while which ran through the Covid years with many memories for lots of our students of online classes in our living rooms and kitchens, to heading back to the studio restricted to 2m square boxes; but we didn’t care - we were back with our stage family!

As the restrictions lifted, we finally settled into our forever home in the beautifully picturesque, rural venue of St Michael’s on Wyre Village Hall where we regularly observe and appreciate the most stunning sunsets and lambs in the field that our studio overlooks.

We now offer classes to over 110 students, a lovey mix of both children and adults, all of who share the same passion for creativity encompassing our family-feel atmosphere.

We are always busy producing regular performances, annual awards evenings, exams for those who wish to participate, theatre trips, social outings, local parades and not forgetting our super special family week where our children’s grown ups get to join them in classes for a week!
